HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE BISTRO!!!
And, another fine week it has been; very fast and furious on this end. December is an incredibly busy month for everyone but even more so for us in the “Bistro Business.” Unlike “normal” people we are working while you’re playing. There are many gatherings, family and friends, that we miss because we’ve chosen this as our profession. Speaking for myself, and I know the majority of my staff, we enjoy being in the hospitality industry. Yes it is a job, and yes it is how we make our living and pay our bills but we also have the good fortune to everyday meet new faces and to visit with our long time friends. Our goal is a common thread…treat everyone like they’re a guest in our home. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your loyalty and camaraderie.
For those of us who stuck with the MSU game yesterday what a fantastic last five minutes. I had the game on the whole time but wasn’t tied to the TV until the end. WOW!!! How cool for them and all their fans and a great end to the season!
We’re continuing the NYE Chalkboard Features throughout the weekend. They were all “hits.” I’m a particular fan of Bouillabaisse so were lots of others as it was the best seller. The Lobster and Crab Cakes are wonderful; the Lamb Chops amazing and our vegetarian, Butternut Squash Ravioli yummy! And, it was fun to commemorate our 60th Birthday with cake and so many well wishers. We’ll proudly continue celebrating 6 decades in business throughout the year.
Sharon and I had so much fun doing the Channel 2 Cooking Class last week that we’re doing a repeat on Monday for Channel 4 at 11 AM. Tune in!
