Mary's Blog and Sharon's chalkboard features - January 24, 2020
And, another fine week it has been. The month of January has raced by. But, as the saying goes, “time flies when you’re having fun.” Puppy walking has been wet but manageable with the melting snow . I’m not planning on it today with the ice and rain…sure wish the malls would allow dog exercising. I realize it would be hard to do though. All the debate about “therapy” animals on planes has piqued my interest. My dogs have certainly been my therapist and gotten me through Tom’s, my dad’s and brother’s deaths amongst other trials and tribulations. Personally though I can’t imagine traveling with them unless necessary. I don’t want the hassle. I can understand both sides of the story…for and against. Being an animal lover it doesn’t bother me a bit. But, I can’t imagine being allergic or afraid of dogs, or cats, or mini horses, (all allowed on planes, up to this point) and having to sit next to one. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. Riding has been a pure joy compared to the frigid temperatures we had a few weeks ago. Z is already shedding, a sure sign of eminent Spring. I love that the days are getting longer, slowly but surely. And the recent sunshine is a welcomed mood booster compared to a dreary, gray sky.
The Bistro has been rocking’ and rolling’ thanks to some great action going on at the Suburban Show Place, last weekend the Dog Show and The Novi Home Show open now through Sunday. There is a record number of exhibitors featuring home and landscaping trends. The show is a one-stop destination to find home improvement products and services for every project imaginable. Come to see us before or after you go!
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, this year on a Friday. We usually don’t take reservations on weekend nights but are making an exception for the holiday. Give us a call and bring your sweet heart in for lunch or dinner.
