Ever hear of the Inspired Acting Company in Walled Lake?... me either… until my friend Michelle invited me to see Scrooge Rouge. This pantomime style production was pretty hilarious with gender bending actors, cheeky humor and bad puns. I will say the acting and singing were impressive, especially for local theatre. Three actors played 20 roles in this wild and crass take on A Christmas Carol. This weekend is the last weekend to catch their performance. Great local theatre just five minutes from the Bistro, bring your sense of humor, have dinner with us after. Thanks to Amanda’s pushing, the Bistro is festively decorated for the holidays, and the music is switched to the Holiday channel. We’ve been busy with lots of office parties, friends toasting the season and even a few Ugly Sweater groups. I’m feeling the cheer!
My holiday outing with the Hens two weeks ago was fun. I bought lots of scents, soaps and clothes from the Winter Market and we enjoyed a bottle of bubbly and some meaty sandwiches at Marrow in the Market. Games and snacks back at the house made for a fun afternoon. I should do my research better though as the German Christmas Market I suggested was a flyer from LAST YEAR so after a 20-minute walk in the cold (and a 20-minute walk back) the hens were cackling at me when no one was there…. Whoops. Sorry girls!
