I can’t believe Christmas AND Hannukah are only 20 days away!!!! I’m not quite in the holiday spirit yet. My first Holiday Party is this Sunday with the Pickled Hens and husbands so that should put me in the spirit. I’m feeling a little Grinchy so far. I tried to convince my family to not exchange gifts this year. I thought maybe we could go away when everyone is in town this summer, but I was outvoted. We compromised with a secret Santa exchange instead. The Bistro staff does a Secret Santa exchange as well. Some of the gifts are pretty creative. I love that they want to make each other happy!

A Brady tradition continues… it’s cookie season!!!! Just like last year we will have TWO pick up dates for Boxes of The Cookie Lady’s Hand Painted Sugar Cookies. 30$ gets you 36 perfect tasty homemade cookies. Cash payments only please.

The first pick-up date will be Friday the 13th. Please have your orders in by Tuesday the 10th for the first pick up (that’s next Tuesday!!). Wow… that snuck up on me!

The second pick-up date is Friday the 20th. I’ll need the second set of orders no later than Tuesday the 17th please. Just call the Bistro, anyone can take your order… let us know how many boxes and which date you want to pick them up.

Lastly, don’t forget DETROIT: A City of Chefs will be premiering at the Emagine Theatre on Monday the 9th. If you cannot make the premiere, there will be a version of the film airing on PBS Thursday, December the 12th. Extra special, Chef Mary Brady will be there signing her new cookbook… another excellent gift option! I hope to see you there!
