Glasgow Joe and Elsa had an amazing performance on the 17th here at the Bistro. The place was packed with family and many old and new friends! They even managed to sell out their next night with us for the 31st. All the indoor tables are currently booked! We still have room on the patios, and you are always welcome to come in and watch the show from the bar or on our “dance floor”. At their first performance, Jena harmonized with Elsa in a killer rendition of Killing Me Softly and Mandolin player, and lover of all things Scottish, Dave King sat in for a few. The Tinney duo nailed another gig at The Grand Trunk Pub (formerly Foran’s Irish Pub) in Detroit for Sunday Brunch. The Pub was originally a jewelry store in the 1870s, became a ticket station for the Grand Trunk Railways in 1905. In 1935 it finally became a bar, changing hands a few times until 2006 when the current owner, Tim Tharp, opened Grand Trunk Pub. You can see more of their story here, but all you need to know is it’s a cool historical space with good food, friendly service and lots of great tap beer.
