And, another fine week it has been! The Bistro is bustling with happiness…it seems as if everyone walking in has a gift to exchange. I love to see friends and family coming to celebrate and visit at our away-from-home abode. We are grateful to our “all-the-time guests” and also for the chance to meet those who are joining us for the first time. It’s our chance to make “new” regulars. I’m glad for those of you able to go to a warm climate for the winter but we sure miss you. I know that my outside activities are cut to a bare minimum with the snow and ice. Which means the treadmill or elliptical with some mat Pilates thrown in. Thankfully I’m able to ride 3-4 days a week unless it is below 20 in the barn which rarely happens with all the “organic” horse heat that is generated by our steady steeds. I learn early on in the winter to dress in layers as I warm up pretty quickly on my big guy Z. If my head, feet and hands are warm I can ride in long sleeves and a vest. The same while walking a pup. And, I have to make sure they’re bundled up too.
The first anniversary of the Ann Arbor Brady’s was just celebrated. For me, it is a walk down memory lane, not because of all the pictures of 7 Mile, but because Tom and I would hang out in the same place, years ago known as Blue Moon. We loved the ambiance and comfort of the room then and it is certainly exemplified now. What an awesome renascence of a beautiful building. I am thankful every day for the wonderful life that I have. A warm house, a great family, beautiful furry friends, work that I love and an awesome team that makes the Bistro hum along smoothly. And then, there are all of you that give us a chance to make you happy and by doing so, us too. Thank-you for allowing us to be part of your lives and also much gratitude for your kindness and generosity for donations of dog and cat food. We have, over the last 8 years, donated tons of pet food to Meals on Wheels. It means so much too many, many people and their kitties and pups. Thanks to everyone for your giving spirit!!!
