I just want to send out a special thank you to my brother-in-law Joe Tinney for his amazing set here last Thursday. The Bistro was jumping!!! The night really had a special feeling in the air as I swear every table was filled with family, dear friends and super regular guests who I’ve come to adore over these last 12 years. Joe’s voice is great but more importantly than singing in key I think he puts his whole heart into every show … especially when he’s playing for people he loves. I’ve been fortunate enough to see Joe play in Scotland and he had the crowd jumping there as well. Joe is a teacher full time but gigs regularly in downtown Glasgow… he draws a great crowd! That’s how he swept my sister Karen off her feet… impressing her with his voice and smooth style. His energy is amazing! He sang for nearly 3 hours straight here!! He did have a few “back-up” singers… my dear friend and the very talented Dave King and our very own server extraordinaire, singer, songwriter, American Idol claim to fame… Jena Ascuitto. Jena has been with us almost a year and she truly is a kind woman with a huge talent and the sweetest personality to boot. Girl is the total package. Thank you to everyone who made the night special… and an extra special thanks to those of you who dropped a few bucks in Joe’s tip jar…looks like he can afford another flight to Michigan next summer and another exclusive gig at the Bistro. It really was a fun night filled with music, love and lots of happy people… and just truly great energy. It’s fun to work and listen to live music! The girls worked their tails off out front and the guys in the kitchen banged it out like it was a piece of cake (it wasn’t… it was crazy busy!)
