I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July. The Bistro was actually pretty busy for a holiday weekend. Thanks for choosing us as your go-to spot! I love hearing your stories of how you celebrated your holiday. I’m surprised at how many of you spent it at your kids or grandkids baseball tournament!?!? Man, travel baseball sounds expensive and time consuming!!!
My Scottish family came into town last week. My sister Karen has lived in Glasgow for over 18 years now. She, her husband Joe and their daughter Elsa will be here for the majority of the summer as both Karen & Joe are teachers and have the summer off. Joe will be singing one night here at the Bistro soon… stay tuned for the date! We started our weekend off with a pizza party at my house on Sunday. Thanks to Chef Max & That’s That Pizza for making the dough for me. I really enjoy a party where the guests are involved in making their own plates. After prepping for the party, the night and morning before, I can mostly relax and enjoy my company. Max and his pizza cart are available for hire when he’s not busy here! www.thatsthatpizza.com You can also catch him at the Birmingham Farmers Market on most Sunday mornings. We managed to fit in a Murder Mystery Party on Monday & a pool party on the 4th. My niece Elsa definitely had the best costume for our murder (she’s waving the flag). This is our second Murder Mystery we have “performed” and if your group is willing to really get into character (my group was ridiculous!) … it can be a hilarious evening. Cheers, Sharon
