Welcome to the Bisto

And, another fine week it has been!! Summer is officially in full force with the Fourth of July holiday here and gone. We all enjoyed 2 well deserved days off. I was able to get an additional horseback ride in and some nagging errands done. It felt so good to get some tasks crossed off my every growing list. Better still I spent time with family and friends. Tom used to close 7 Mile for 2 weeks in July to coincide with the automobile companies breaks.  The whole staff planned their vacations around that time off. Maybe next year.  I only wish!

Wednesday night I saw the Rolling Stones for the third time. One of my nephews, who is 20, made the comment that their voices were going to sound “old” and that they couldn’t possibly be good anymore because of their ages. Having seen them 2 times previously I knew how great they’d be and wasn’t disappointed. Mick and the boys rocked Comerica Park for nearly 2 1/2 hours straight. They had the crowd on their feet for the entire time dancing to all the favorites we’ve grown to love over the years. Yes, their faces are craggy and maybe their voices not what they once were but boy what a show. For 70+ year olds they still can rock. It didn’t hurt to have seats so close that we could almost touch them. Main floor, 19 rows back and right next to the “runway” extension of the stage. The park looked great, crowd had a blast and I loved seeing tons of people walking around the down town. The “D” is back!

“I know its only Rock and Roll but I like it, like it yes I do! "

And last night was icing on the cake with Joe Tinney performing for the third year in a row. He is kind enough to give us a night from his vacation to play at the Bistro. It was so fun to have him and the Bistro was rockin’ and rolling on it’s own account. How fun! Thanks Joe!! And Elsa, your beautiful… Wish we’d see you more than once a year.

Chalkboard Specials are Awesome once again… ½# Hot Doggie; Hazel Nut Dusted Walleye; Pacific Halibut and a Chicken Strudel Pie. YUM..

I WISH YOU ALL A MILLION DOLLAR DAY!
XXOO, MARY
