And another fine week it has been..

We are busy with holiday celebrations and looking forward to a few days off, Christmas Eve and Day. Last Sunday I hosted my family party and we all had a wonderful time.  It was so much fun to visit and enjoy each other’s company, a rarity to have us all together.  Mom is gone for Christmas to meet her first great grandson, Liam. How very cool. He’s a mere 6 weeks old and as I’m told “ a good baby.”  We’ll certainly miss her on this end. Those of us in town are shaking it up this year and doing a movie and pizza, homemade – not ordered in – instead of  the traditional dinner.  I’m looking forward to it!

I love Christmas Cards. It is wonderful getting mail that is old-fashioned-meant-from-the-heart. I so appreciate a hand-written note. Many of my cards are from older friends, Tom’s buddies from way back. I’m in amazement of their strong script, unfortunately a lost art. I find relaxation and enjoyment to “pen” a note. As a child my Aunt El, an English teacher, and I would write letters, as would my Grandfather and Aunt Betty. I have them all, many through my college years. I get such pleasure to re-read them and am happy that they instilled the joy of communication via the written word.

The Chalkboard Features are outstanding once again: Buttermilk Soaked then Flash-Fried Chicken Breast Served with Cheddar Biscuits and Black Pepper Country Gravy; Pan Roasted Florida Grouper; Always a Favorite, Seared Sea Scallops and A Vegetarian Asian Bowl. Least I forget – Pumpkin Mousse for Dessert. YUM!!!

We all wish you a Happy Holiday. And thank-you for your support and kind words throughout the year.

Pico, Niki and Picasso send their Holiday greetings too!! My beautiful pups and horse make my days.

I Wish You All A Million Dollar Day!~
XO, Mary
