Welcome to the Bistro!

And, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, another fine week it has been!!! I had the pleasure of hosting my family for brunch before they had to move on to respective in-laws for the big turkey dinner. My most “un-favorite” meal to  cook is Thanksgiving.  To  me it is the hardest to coordinate food wise. I’d rather put a big buffet of serve-your-self dishes out and be able to enjoy each other. Everything is ready to go; no active cooking after the gang arrives. We had so much fun and as a bonus the Lions won too!

A highlight of the week was  attending the Stevie Wonder concert at the Joe last Saturday. Over his lifetime this legendary singer, songwriter and musician has received 25 Grammy awards, an Oscar and a Golden Globe. What an icon he is. Even with the horrific weather the arena was full. The show started late but Stevie played for near to 4 hours with the last  a medley of all the favorites you’d ever want to hear. One hour of snippets of his best. The crowd was on its feet the whole time. I will have to say that getting home at 3AM and being pumped from the jams made it hard to wind down. It was an amazing evening and I’m so glad that I went. Very fun!!!

Niki and Pico were in their glory yesterday with all the company. They are such nice and affectionate pups. I didn’t get to go see Z at the barn but was assured he’d get an extra flake of hay. I’m thankful for many things but my animal friends are at the top of the list.

As the holidays approach please remember that we take reservations except for Friday and Saturday nights. The patios are heated, comfy and can accommodate larger groups. If you need assistance with coordinating time and menu call and Jenna, Sharon or myself can walk you through.

Chalkboard features are outstanding per se: Seared Ahi Tuna, make mine rare, over Almond Rice and Tempura Veggies; Grilled Pork Tender Loin with a Sage and Rosemary crust served with A Root Vegetable Gratin; Sautéed Lake Superior Perch Accompanied with Buttermilk Mashers and Lemon Butter Sauce and our Veggie Friendly is a Bake of Quinoa, Spinach, Mushrooms and Tomatoes Layered with Halloumi Cheese and Fresh Herbs. YUM! Sorry but… NO TURKEY!!

WE WISH YOU A MILLION DOLLAR DAY AND
LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE BISTRO!!

XO, Mary
