AND, ANOTHER FINE WEEK IT HAS BEEN…
Falling back is like falling down. Wow, just an hour and what a difference it makes with everything. I feel wide awake at 4 am and tired at 10 pm. The pups are off kilter too, up late, sleeping in…and, just sleeping more. I will have to say that I really, really like the morning sun light.  And, at the Bistro, we see our guests coming a little later. There have been lots of conversations of not feeling “not right”  and not able to get used to it being dark so early. But, it’s only been a week and we will all figure it out.  Then, there was the snow this morning. I did enjoy watching it float down but that is as far as it went. Maddie, the Florida pup, who has never seen the white “stuff,” took one look and tried to do a fast retreat into the house. It took some coaxing to have her relent and take care of business. The final garden clean-up  is in process with lots of leaves being cleared and the woods groomed for winter. I try to get as much dead branches off the trees as possible and little saplings that will die off, due to lack of sun, are culled out. Time to hunker down and look forward to visits to mom, my sister Isabelle and friends Ernie and Georgie in St. Pete.

Monday is Veteran’s Day, a celebration honoring fellow Americans who have served our country in the military. They protect today, or protected in the past, our greatest blessing, that of freedom. Our Constitutional rights and the fight for world peace are strengthened daily thanks to them. My Grandfather Smith served in 2 World Wars achieving rank of Colonel. Much of his time was in the Calvary, the horseback division of the Army, Dad was in the Navy, Uncle Tom and John were in the Army and my nephew-in-law, Alex is currently enlisted and has been deployed to Iraq and the front lines two times. He is a Bronze Medal recipient as is Tom’s brother, Matt, who served in Vietnam.  Many thanks and much gratitude for all who serve us and this great land!

Sharon and crew have some awesome Chalkboard Features starting tonight. Mike Chipps is in charge and has some great specials in store.

Back is the ever popular FRIED CLAM STRIPS Served with House Made Cocktail Sauce.

The holidays are fast approaching.  Bistro GIFT CARDS are great stocking stuffers. Come in to purchase or call and we’ll send them out.  Also, we are taking reservations for larger groups so if you’re thinking of us for your party give us a call sooner rather than later.  And, the PET PANTRY is always in need of re-stocking.

We also are in the midst of a staff contest of increasing our presence on social media. So, like find us on Facebook or Instagram, Our team goal is to triple our likes by the end of the year. We are tracking it daily and I’m donating $25 to charity for every 25 new follows/likes. The entire crew will be rewarded too.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE BISTRO
AND,
WISH YOU MANY MILLION DOLLAR DAYS!!!
