Welcome to the Bistro!

Happy Holidays from All of Us At The Bistro!
I know it has been a different holiday season for all of us. Instead of my big family get-together I had several smaller ones so we could social distance. There was lots of hand washing and virtual hugging. It was emotionally trying for all of us. There are very few times that we can gather everyone in one place during the year so not being able to visit with the whole family was sad. My mom only saw myself and Liz on Christmas but was happy for that. I took Maddie and Sophie over and we had a nice brunch and visit. Liz took her a Polish dinner later on so she didn’t miss out on some good meals anyway. I am thankful in many ways though. The Bistro is doing good considering what we have to work with. My family and friends are well. I’ve had some great phone visits with girlfriends I’ve known for 40 plus years who I’d normally be “too busy” to chat with more than 30 minutes and am amazed when 2 hours later we’re still reminiscing. Pups and ponies are doing great and are an amazing source of solace during this time. I am truly a very fortunate person. Thank-you God.

he Bistro is open today for carry-out and patio seating if anyone is brave enough for that. We are taking reservations for New Year’s Eve, 2PM until 9PM. Obviously they will be very limited.


Let Mary and Sharon Cook will feature the Chalkboard Features that we’ll have for New Year’s Eve:
SURF AND TURF: Lobster Tail and Steak with Buttermilk Mashers, Roasted Asparagus and Drawn Butter;  

JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKES: Two Maine Blue Crab Cakes Griddled and Presented with Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Green Vegetable Tangle and Hollandaise Sauce and

BRAISED SHORT RIBS: 12 ounce Boneless Short Rib Slowly Cooked with Pinot Noir, Beef Stock and Mushrooms Served over Mascarpone Polenta with Crispy Onion Rings and the Natural Jus.

For DESSERT: FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE Garnished with Whipped Cream and Berries. YUM!!
