Welcome to the Bistro!
All the animals, pups and horses, are lethargic as all get-out! The heat has them to a near standstill. Z, and Picasso, are not getting turned out in this hot weather and the stalls have box fans going full speed to keep the air flow moving and the flies at bay. And, the wash stall is nearly always in use, hosing the horses with cool water bring them some relief. I ride as early as I possibly can so that it is half-way comfortable for Z and me. We take lots of “walk breaks” and I have been limiting saddle time to 30 minutes. I decided not to do a horse show this weekend and passed up the invite for a trail ride. I have no regrets for either choice. Sofia and Maddie don’t get to go on their walks. A quick in-and-out of the house to “do their thing” is just enough for them. Although they do get a bit of exercise following me around as I water flower pots. Maddie is terribly afraid of storms and there is little I can do to comfort her when one rolls through. Poor Maddie!
We are seeing business tracking up a bit.
We’re so thankful for your positive response to the way we’re handling our precautionary measures. There are way more people that want to sit outside so I’m very happy that we were able to extend our patios by 24 seats. We are taking reservations and it is good to make one if you want to dine in a particular area. All of us are wearing our masks and sanitizing our hands profusely. We require that you do the same. There are hand sanitizers all over the Bistro, inside and out. You’re able to take your mask off when seated but please put them back on anytime you leave your table. Stay healthy so that we can stay open. If the state starts to spike back up in deaths and diagnosed cases I have no doubt that the Governor will close up restaurants and other businesses. It really is so easy, you wear a seat belt, wear a mask! Wash your hands and social distance.
We have had inquiries about larger groups and are able to accommodate them on our patios. There have been several family birthday parties celebrated and we’ve booked several showers and anniversaries. We can also prepare food for your home gatherings and will be glad to work with you to design and implement a menu.
I realize that the time is not right yet for some of you to dine in with us. The entire menu is available for to-go and we are more than glad to deliver curbside. Payment can be made over the phone so no one has to handle a credit card or pen. Add your Favorite Cocktail too…it is now legal to do carry-out Drinks.
